BMA cooperated with JICA to organize the training course for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) on climate change adaptation

          On November 24th, 2021 between 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Meeting Room 1, Building 1, BMA City Hall 2 (Din Daeng), Climate Change Strategy Sub-division, Air Quality and Noise Management Division Department of Environment (DOE), BMA, and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) jointly organized the training course for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) on climate change adaptation at the project-level.

          Such training was to aim at building an understanding of the M&E framework on adaptation to climate change and the essence of climate change adaptation approaches. In the overall of the training course, it consisted of lecture and discussion. For lecture, the framework or process for conducting the M&E was focused. For discussion between Task Force members and the Local Consultant on adaptation planning, it consisted of related different aspects such as outcome, indicators project selection for using as a case study for taking M&E actions.

          Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the training was arranged through online video conference (Zoom progam) and all trainees were from the TF members of adaptation planning, CCS staff as the secretariat team, JICA staff, and Local Consultant. This training course can be beneficial for BMA to conduct the M&E to support and track the further implementation of the Bangkok Master Plan in an effective manner.
